A message says "Playback device limit reached"
If you see a "Playback device limit reached" message, it means you are trying to play music on more devices than your current plan allows.
Main cause for this message
With BGMC Station, you can play music simultaneously on the number of devices specified in your contract.
For example, if you have a plan for one device, this message will appear if you try to play music on a second smartphone or PC while it is already playing on another device.
How to resolve the issue
Please try one of the following solutions.
1. Stop playback on other devices
Please check if BGMC Station is currently playing on any other devices. You can see your "Currently Playing Devices" on the "Billing" page of your account.
If it is playing on another device, please stop the playback there before trying to play on the desired device.
*Hint: Music may be playing in the background unintentionally. Please make sure to completely close the app on devices you are not using.*
2. Change your plan to allow for more devices
If you wish to play BGM on multiple devices at the same time, you will need to change your subscription plan to increase the number of allowed devices.
You can easily add or change the number of contracted devices on our website.

When the message appears even though you are not using other devices
If playback stops suddenly—due to a forced app closure, a network interruption, or a device restart—the "playing" status may remain for a short while. If you try to play again on the same device immediately afterward, this message may appear (this is not a malfunction).
In that case, please wait a little while (about 30 seconds to 1 minute) and then try playing again. It will resolve automatically.
If playback itself keeps stopping partway through continuous play, please also see the following article:
